1987, ano em que nossa banda faz as suas primeiras viagens fora de seu pais de origem. Passando pela Inglaterra, Canadá e Alemanha, os gunners ganham mais e mais admiradores e fãs. No mesmo ano, eles entrariam para a história do rock mundial, lançado o épico disco de estréia da banda, Appetite For Destruction, que vendeu espantosas 28 milhões de cópias alcançando o topo das paradas e se tornando o album mais vendido para um album de estréia. As exibições de Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City e Sweet Child O' Mine tornaram-se frequentes na MTV, e a nossa banda a partir daí tornava-se um ícone. Vale lembrar que a ilustração do Appetite For Destruction fora sensurada por mostrar uma mulher sendo estuprada pro um robô. Alguns países venderam o album em um plastico preto e pouco tempo depois a capa foi substituida por outra mostrando agora um cruz com a caveira dos 5 integrantes da banda. Tal proibição não aconteceu no Brasil e a venda continuou normalmente. No fim do mesmo ano, o nosso baterista Steven Adler quebra o braço e é substituido por Fred Couty do Cinderella em alguns shows.



Curiosidade: Paul Stanley do KISS, ia produzir o AFD contanto que deixassem Welcome To The Jungle mais pop. A banda não aceitou tal proposta.

Sexo, Drogas e ROCK N' ROLL, esse era o lema do Guns N' Roses!

1986, ano em que a nossa fantástica banda estava dando seus primeiros passos para uma carreira de muito sucesso.
No começo os Gunners tocavam em casa de shows famosas na California (lugar onde se formou a banda), tais como The Roxy, Troubadour, Whisky A Go Go, dentre outras, alem de tocar em festivais como o ''Street Scene''.
No mesmo ano, os caras lançam o seu primeiro material, o EP ''Live Like A Suicide'' contendo 4 musicas ao vivo, dentre elas o cover de Mama Kin, do Aerosmith, além da ''porradona'' Reckless Life, que fala um pouco sobre a vida dos gunners na época, Nice Boys e Move To The City. O EP é tão foda, que todas as musicas retornaram algumas vezes no set da banda (em datas diferentes é claro) na turne dos albuns Use Your Illusion.
É claro, ao longo dos anos nossa banda foi evoluindo e levando consigo uma imensa legião de fãs e admiradores, muitos deles fiéis até hoje!
